examples of album promotion

I found this review of an american band in the clash magazine, which gives a little more information than what i need about the band, but gives the reader an idea about who they are and where they're from.

I then found these singles/album reviews in DJ magazine, which obviously includes the name of the band/artist and the name of the single/album, with a link of their myspace or official website, in case the reader would like to know more about them. They then give a review of the song. They also include a score of what they give the album out of 10 which gives the audience an idea of how good the single/album is and whether they should buy it.

This is the second peice of footage i have shot, i am slightly displeased with what i have shot, because i feel its boring, but hopefully it will look better when i have the finished product.

This is the first part of the filming i have done, obviously there are gaps, as i need to fill them with other shots. Overall, i think i need to incoperate different camera angles into the music video.

influences

I was also heavily influenced by Kelly Clarkson's 'My Life Would Suck Without You' where she is on the swings, as i have my singer doing that in some scenes, other music video's such as 'When I Was a Youngster' by Rizzle Kicks, where they are messing around in the park, as I am using some students from wyke, to swing, and slide, and spin around on the wheel.

influences

I was inspired by this music video for my Album cover and the idea for the setting of some of my music video, because of the use of the stately home, in which I am using Burton Constable.
This is also ironic because this music video in which I was infuenced is by Lily Allen, which is the artist whose song I am using for my music video LDN.

shooting schedule

The first bit of filming I did was some of the scenes of India in the park, which was filmed on the 2nd December
I did a shot of Hannah on the swing, which I am going to edit into another Scene of other characters on the swings, this was filmed on the 8th December
I am hopefully going to be filming the scenes at Burton Constable on the 16th December, in which i am going to use cinematography to create the illusion the 2 different characters are together.
